A communist, a GAA coach and another mainstream candidate

Sounds perfectly like Ireland’s new idols

It's a fucking disgrace that Steen wasn't allowed to make the ballot.

Ugh idk man

It was bad *BUT*

She started campaigning really late and most Irish people don’t care she’s not on the ballot

They care about communists, mainstream Irish politics and GAA.

It’s not all terrible, it’ll only empower whatever resistance we have to actually do something in politics

She’d actually be good at uniting our divided right somewhat

Once again, it was bad but it was all by the rule book 🤷‍♂️

If they were so confident that nobody is interested in voting for her they would have let her on the ballot.

It's precisely that they feared the opposite that they ousted her.

That’s somewhat true

Still doesn’t make it a disgrace

If they did it to Catherine Connolly I’d be delighted

I was watching an interview with Steen recently where she rejected the idea of her "lateness" having contributed to her failing to make the ballot:

"I wasn't that late compared to the other candidates, Catherine Connolly declared in mid July, Heather Humphries declared about 10 days before I did, Jim Gavin declared after I did. Garteth Sheridan had been working on this for over a year and he failed to secure a nomination."

"People say that I was late, but if I was earlier, can people tell me which two TD's would have signed for me? Can they tell me the 4 Councils that would have nominated me?"

The GAA is a fucking religion, it's fascinating.

💯

In Ireland there’s Leftism and GAAism

Have you ever read Curtis Yarvin discussing the cathedral?

Getting rid of the church didn’t get rid of the church

There’ll always be a new one there

I havent heard him before, must give him a listen, cheers.
