In fact the going too a gym is a complete waste of time and resources.

I disagree.

It depends on what motivates you and space for equipment.

I use my gym membership to pushpull the sled, manual incline resistance treadmill for backwards walking, weighted hip thrust, and slight incline dumbbell press.

I do kettlebell swings and deadlifting as well but I admit that's easy to do at home.

I also only pay <20$ a month.

you can guy most of those thing and have a small home gym for much less than a gym membership will cost you, minus some larger equipment like the sled for example. If you're looking to body build and need real heavy gear then maybe the gym is justifiable.
