Unpopular opinion, I know, but nostr isn’t going to replace twitter. Yes its certainly better, but we already know from history that to replace a technology with an established network effect, the tech replacing has to be a minimum of like 10 times better/more effective.

I just don’t think a twitter-clone client on nostr like Damus is gonna get there.

Still think the tech is vitally important and there will come along a use case that really fits and makes the protocol flourish.

But as a twitter-clone, it’s just not 10x better so it’s not going to overcome the network effect of twitter.

That being said I’ve still deleted twitter off my phone and have 3 nostr clients downloaded. So that’s something.

Building on nostr even on projects that aren’t going mainstream like twitter is still important I think.
