Many public relays are slow too to be clear, donβt want to selectively throw shade.
I just think people assume that a paid relay means itβs faster when in a lot of cases they are less experienced relay operators running something plug and play on a very small VPS.
Personally, Iβm not a fan of people selling services they canβt maintain but itβs early and expectations are low.
Any other relay operator youβd like to recommend ? Someone who will actually maintain it ?? π«
Iβm going to stay away from paid relay recommendations at least for now. Definitely a few I used to recommend that have not been so great lately.
I can confidently recommend #[3]β as a relay operator. They run the public relays nos.lol and nostr.mom. Public relays have a lot more challenges when it comes to spam and performance but they are a knowledgeable operator that I expect to be around for a long time.
+1 for nostr.mom and nos.lol #[4] is serious to manage both of them :)
