Why are people so focused on getting new Nostr users to follow *people*? Why is that so important to others? I find it very odd.

Even the terminology sucks. I'd rather connect, monitor, join, observe, or receive. Either way, this strong desire baffles me.

I like to urge plebs to follow other plebs. In doing so, you are giving your ears to the less heard.

I like the point you're making, but I think we need to keep workshopping the right replacement terminology.
