Buying cheap old stuff may save you sats initially, but then you might spend more in upkeep and maintenance.

Depends on the product. We bought some old 2nd hand hardwood furniture. It will last 4eva
If it can be maintenaced, you've won.
We have been buying old furniture and putting in some work on them (thx to my wife) over the last 20 years, they have about 10x over time 😁
Buy once, cry once 😂
You can buy barely used clothes online for 1/10th price. Used children's stuff (incl clothes) is a no brainer. 2-5 years old cars is the best value. 30 years old Morso stove is better and cheper than most new ones. There are very little things that buying new is a better value (mostly small tech and hardware like phones, laptops, etc.)
Might being the key word. Might not.
It's about quality vs low quality, not about old vs new. For people who have limited budget the choice often is to either buy quality old, or shitty new. In that case old is better. Besides there are good deals to be had if one likes to search.
Buy cheap, buy twice
Be frugal not cheap
I agree with that! Lower maintenance may be but also mainly how you feel around using that, you enjoy the thing, trust that if it’s functional etc.
I’d say it’s more important to be aware of what we surround with; and therefore buy, consume, etc :)
Oh plus it’s easier to make more sats than having to waste mental capacity on saving a few.😈
