There are a number of very reasonably priced boutique hardware synths. I love my Roland S1 for example. DAWs for Linux, Reaper and Bitwig? There is another one called Ardour which I’ve little experience of but did install on my Linux laptop. I’ve a couple of laptops, one is a Mac the other a Dell with Ubuntu installed.
Hope this helps?
Reaper is cool on Linux and free if you click ‘still evaluating’ although a single user license is only $60 and it’s a brilliant DAW! Hardware it’s worth checking the Behringer stuff as you get a lot of bang for your buck.
Yep I’ve been considering the Crave for years!!
Nice, I haven't played with one but a friend has one and loves it.
Keep thinking of playing with Reaper a bit more as it happens.
It's cool once you find the right set up, now it's pretty much got what I had in Pro Tools but quicker and loads of other cool stuff.
Well Pro Tools is a standard indeed. I installed it recently, just need to find the time to try it out in conjunction with a keyboard and something like my Oxi One.
