Long press, type + and click add and save.

Now you'll see a heart in that popup list which is your typical like button.

People on nostr just add reactions instead these days, its more expressive and better.

Thanks for the tip. I am not entirely sure how expressive and better it is. Half the time I have no idea how to interpret the "reactions" I get.

I think it just feels more modern and expressive to the sender, for sure emoticons often get lost in translation for the reader, but culture and context play a big role and the more you learn about/from your followers, the better you connect with them.

For example, 🤙 is a common one that people use, it is the shakka symbol and became very popular after a bunch of people from costa rica joined nostr.

It's also got several meanings in British Sign Language including "milk" 😁

I want to aggregate these reactions and see what happens when you filter them through algorithms.

It would be interesting to view my friend list sorted by the amount of reactions I give them, and specifically which emoji.
