💯 Jeff……..

There is little disposable income……....

Most has been eaten away with rising prices in rent/housing and food……..

That being said, one should skip their fancy coffee habit from Starbucks and get a 2 pound organic bag of whole beans at Costco……

Grind it up as needed and enjoy……. nostr:note1pc3y0zrh24ntc5r0s6rmm6wjgesksmuecvplwx6x544h9hwuj4lqne8p02

Yup. I was chatting with someone at work about buying a two bedroom home. He said you'll be moving up into bigger and bigger places like me soon.

I was just scratching my head like why? I don't need a mansion. As long as I'm a nice area and have enough space for what I actually need I'm happy. As long as the ten year old car is still reliable I'll drive it. I don't care about keeping up with the Joneses.

That's what most lifestyle creep comes from imo. Just plain old one-upmanship.

Smaller homes equal fatter wallets, less cleaning and maintenance costs & more time to enjoy life! 🤙🏻

Exactly……….

Buy what gives you joy without putting you on the hamster wheel!

👍🏼. coffee grinders be as loud as a leaf blower tho

Folgers here, 30oz in the traveler then it gets filled with water for the rest of the day.

Folgers is straight ass.

There's a reason it's that cheap.

100% and while I agree with you the matriarch of the family does not. what floats your boat can also sink it.

Exactly, my mother in-law drinks Starbucks daily. From what I hear, her custom coffees (loaded with likely soooo much junk) are around $13CAD each.

I buy a can of McCafe for $22 and it lasts my wife and I about a month.

She can afford it and doesn’t have to think about money.

Although I could afford it, I just can’t wrap my head around spending that much on a single coffee.

Forsure, rising costs aren’t helping, but even in a “good” economic situation, people still spend wildly.

It’s a credit economy and has been for a long time. They want the instant gratification.
