20% retention after a month is actually pretty good. What’s more, we’re only seeing users who WRITE content / like / follow. Users who are just reading on nostr are completely silent.

I heard that as of a couple weeks ago Bluesky only had a a couple thousand daily active users. Which isn’t to diss them, just to remind folks that real usage numbers are what matter, not press or spin.

We win with Nostr if we make a compelling app that people join and want to keep using. This isn’t a horse race where only one new emerging protocol wins. We’ve got many social media apps and communities, that happily exist alongside each other.

Yeah I've never actually seen charts like this for other networks so I think it's pretty dumb to draw conclusions from it.

True.

I think there will be a future where an entire digital civilization lives here. Nostr is the future to anonymize those that want or need that. We need Nostr. Bless our builders.

💯

agree

Why does it feels like bluesky is just dorsy vision of new twitter

I'm just reading. So I speak for others too! We are here.

Nostr will flow like water into everyone's lives, and by the time the giants find it, it will be everywhere. This is the platform enterprise.

apps will coexist, yes

but base layer protocols? Unlikely.

will be similar to btc or tcpip or shipping containers
