Just tells me what we are doing rn, like #plebchain for one example, isn't working.
how reliable is that data?

“I heard it’s crashing.” 🤡
If I had a dollar for every time I saw someone with Ukraine flag pretending to have unlocked the secrets of the universe, I would be living on andromeda now
It will require most time and more things breaking. The belief that there are workable alternatives and that our current centralized systems are “the best we can do” is probably the hardest and most freighting mindset for many to break…
this is actually a chart of the average IQ of a twitter user
20% retention after a month is actually pretty good. What’s more, we’re only seeing users who WRITE content / like / follow. Users who are just reading on nostr are completely silent.
I heard that as of a couple weeks ago Bluesky only had a a couple thousand daily active users. Which isn’t to diss them, just to remind folks that real usage numbers are what matter, not press or spin.
We win with Nostr if we make a compelling app that people join and want to keep using. This isn’t a horse race where only one new emerging protocol wins. We’ve got many social media apps and communities, that happily exist alongside each other.
👏
Slow and steady 🫡
Yeah I've never actually seen charts like this for other networks so I think it's pretty dumb to draw conclusions from it.
True.
I think there will be a future where an entire digital civilization lives here. Nostr is the future to anonymize those that want or need that. We need Nostr. Bless our builders.
I'm just reading. So I speak for others too! We are here.
Nostr will flow like water into everyone's lives, and by the time the giants find it, it will be everywhere. This is the platform enterprise.
apps will coexist, yes
but base layer protocols? Unlikely.
will be similar to btc or tcpip or shipping containers
... you would have a stack like nostr:npub15dqlghlewk84wz3pkqqvzl2w2w36f97g89ljds8x6c094nlu02vqjllm5m does
Nostr is the decentralized super app
I'm crazy to set up a store in nostr...
... you'd be a Bitcoinaire!
Just wait until the SW/content creator crowd figures it out. Uncensorable w a side of zap tips? Tailor made for the "spicy" content creators.
Clearly this person forgot how shitty Facebook was in 2009. I signed up and didn't use it for about a year. #nostr is soo much better. I signed up and it was exciting.
And the developments make it even more exciting. The visibility of what's being built is exciting. The possibilities of what can come excite me.
#nostr is exciting. Probably the most exciting mix of social / v4v / unlimited possibilities we've seen.
I'll stay 💜🦩⚡️🧡
Actually I kind of miss the 2009 facebook. Ads were basically nonexistent, you saw primarily posts by your friends, you weren't force fed hostile content. to make you rage im the comments...
Technologically it was probably bad, I don't remember that. but UX-wise it went downhill with every single major update.
You were friends with early adopters?! Haha, none of my friends made it to Facebook until mid 2010 or later 😆
You made me question, whether I did really join that early. I thought it was massively adopted in "09 and I wasn't really an early adopter. I was actually one of the last in my social bubble who joined FB. I didn't want to leave ICQ. but eventually had to because everyone I knew went to FB instead.

Haha LOVE IT. ICQ. That cute little flower. Someone should totally bring that back to life 😂 🌻
Maybe over in NZ we were a bit behind with the times. We were all using Bebo 😅🙈
Surprisingly it still exists and works. But there is no Warsheep or any other games sadly. Necer really figured out what keeps them afloat tho.
Though, everything I said in the previous post applies to 2010 just as well. If I remember correctly. 2012 was the update that introduced the timeline, new profiles and what I would consider a breaking point when it started to go downhill UX-wise.
Hey dude! It’s more about attention span. Some people don’t have any, so they run back to Twit.
This is a bad chart I've made 3 accounts so far and have no plans on accessing the first 2
It's like counting Bitcoin wallets and saying they left Bitcoin after they change addresses.
Do not believe
This guy has probably pushed more people away from Nano than otherwise
