I dialed in to BBS’s on a C64 using a 1200 baud modem.

Never used Windows with a modem.

One of my earliest memories is using my gradfathers dial-up computer back in the mid-90s.

That and encyclopedias. 🤙

Caught the last glimpse of it in the early 2000s but even in modern times in some rural areas in The United States Dial Up is still common.

And that’s not a cup holder, it’s where my AOL startup CD goes!
