What’s up #nostr

I need more accounts to follow. My feed is looking like github on here recently πŸ˜‚

I really feel like nostr could thrive as a place to find those with similar interests, communities, etc. But the tools still feel incredibly lacking there πŸ˜”

GM Trey! What client are you using?

Mostly use nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955

But I’ve pretty much tried β€˜em all

Using Nostur and setting up different lists with different groups of people and/or different hashtags is a superpower. It lets you keep in touch with a certain group or topic and only see that in the feed.

I’m working on book app built on nostr that I hope to extend to mini social communities (almost chat rooms). That way people don’t have to go to the main feed of Damus or something similar to find conversation.

Open Librarian, have a look see what you think. It is quite basic still, but you get the idea. If you try it maybe spin up a new NSEC, it is early days.

I know what you mean. Give it time and keep on searching. I ask questions and guess what people deliver. Remember to zap them.

I agree. I found that I had to really put in some effort over a few months searching some different hashtags that I was interested in. But after a while I started to have a diverse and interesting feed.

I try to post interesting things, not just dev stuff. Feel free to follow and I’ll try to help unGitHub you. πŸ€™

Followed you. I will upload my life, thoughts on BTC and my jazz guitar playing.

Hi Trey,

after joining Nostr, my initial impression was that everybody was only talking about Bitcoin and Nostr.

However, I've since discovered a more diverse ecosystem.

To highlight this diversity, I've decided to start a weekly post featuring the most interesting non-Bitcoin, non-Nostr accounts I've encountered.

Here are the last two selections:

Sometimes I share pictures from the nature or uplifting thoughts in the mornings. Also, I am helping Bitcoiners to get a job in the industry. If that resonates with you, you can follow me.

Moreover, I see you mention vegan in your profile. I know one extraordinary soul to follow, check out nostr:nprofile1qqsvdxm3m3tylhp4ptxal7ff7fwhyq4vz3cvsaygvz9adkvwgf46wccpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9uq3zamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qythwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskuep0urhjv6

Here's something to brighten your timeline.

hi

It's likely that centralized search engines for Nostr will be and remain relevant.

This is fine, too, as many such engines can exist.

Need a bit of this myself as well
