I’m getting (more) fat again. Carnivore diet felt great but had some weird side effects and I couldn’t stomach eating the same thing all the time 😞

Something I learned from smoking weed is that you don’t want to puff until you’re high. You want to take a few hits, and wait for it to kick in. Same principle with eating. Don’t eat until you’re full. Let it settle.
Then go meat and 2 veg. Greens. Broccoli and stuff. Gives you extra flavours for variety but no crap
That’s what I stated doing but somehow it just led me to carbs 😢
The amount of meat one has to consume was just making me not want it. I got tired fast.
Try eating less. I fasted and then when broke fast found eating less but still satisfied with plenty energy and felt great. I was just over eating without realising it
I felt lacking in energy and constantly thinking about food when I ate less. Felt better when I started eating when I was hungry without counting hours. But that just makes me more sick of meat faster.
Phase that’s passed through with fasting. Been through same thing. I’m not fully carnivore. Probably 70% meat and the rest now eggs, nuts, veg and a bit of carbs. Went from falling asleep every day around 2pm for a nap and having low energy to loads of energy all day. Dropping breakfast helped too
I tried without breakfast and that just made me super hungry at lunch.
Put it this way. People are being dogmatic on diet. Everyone is an individual. Finding what’s right for you requires personal experimentation and awareness of changes
Yeah this seems to be right. And I haven’t found what works for me yet
Keep playing! It’s interesting to see the changes. Make sure to give body time to adapt and demonstrate its reaction and adjust. Some things are harder to change. I haven’t had sugar in diet for over 20 years and it tastes sickly to me but watch others try to kick it and have trouble. Some things take months to mentally and physically adjust to. Enjoy the process and don’t beat up on yourself
What carbs? I switch to just potatoes and sweet potato (makes a great mash and a touch of cinnamon rocks) and bananas for carbs. No refined shit
i find that whenever i stop these sorts of diets i gorge for week following and undo everything I gained. and then some.
Yep
Meat + fruits is where it's at. Being afraid of carbs is ridiculous. Good food is one of many joys in life, don't miss out on it.
Getting fat? Go 16/8 or OMAD and do more cardio.
more sport less nostr
My pants after a 3 week stay in India 😂😂😂
Listen to your body.
Carnivore is a great way to heal your body from fiat diet. But it's not meant to be permanent for everybody.
Substitute carbs with vegetables.
What weird side effects?
Gout-like symptoms
Diet is quite an individual thing, lots of people seem to talk in absolutes re diet with what works for them.
I’m curious to do a blood test to work out what things are more likely to work for me but I don’t trust any companies doing the tests.
Quite a few people have said what you have - about it being an individual thing. I think Nostriches recognize that.
There are some genetic tests you can make to detect which kinds of food your body adapts better. For me I saw low carb works well. Maybe it is an option. You also need to talk to a doctor with experience to interpret the data reliably.
Then you are doing it wrong. As to the same thing every time part.
IDK why people do this, anything that had a face = carnivore.
I am more ketovore personally, meat/animal products plus vegetables. Note vegetables not tubers or fruits, well other than peppers, tomatoes, cukes and eggplants. Also herbs are fine.
I eat something different almost every day. Fish, steak, chicken, pork, etc. Then change the seasoning, cooking method, I make cream sauces, chili sauces, etc.
Giving up french fries, mash potatoes and bread doesn't equal no variety.
Thanks for blaming me 🙏
