I worked a job for some years that had me regularly backpacking, typically with itineraries that weren't for the faint of heart, and talking to countless other backpackers, so with that said, be careful with the "more is better". It can be a slippery slope that I've seen wreak havoc in more than a few trips. But overall, good work and good luck!

Yea I got a little convoluted there. I agree, more weight is a huge problem. Rather I meant to say, more ammo is always better but it does come with trade offs.
