Came back with some slightly used tires, some shade tarps someone left after camping, and commercial grade heavy steel door frame, and more. Great finds. There are probably 100 more tires out here.

Oops. I got my #nostrphx shirt dirty. 😬

#asknostr How should I use all those tires.

The tires can be used as building material. Stack them, and fill all cavities with dirt, to make walls.

Thats what I am thinking. At least the lower parts of the walls. We have a ton of stone up here also.

Yea look up earthships if you haven't already- I'm sure they have tutorials on pounding tires. Its quite a workout.

I'd consider digging out a root cellar and using the pounded tires as the retaining wall

Will do. I also thought about using them for a dam as well. To help collect water.

The root cellar is a cool idea when I think about. I had a dream last night that someone let me borrow a backhoe to dig with. Right now we are only hand tools.

Nice, hope you can make it happen! I got lucky and had a neighbor with an excavator and skid steer for a few of our projects. The power of the right community

Build an Earthship?

I am definitely going to look into them more. I kind of want to make some kind of hybrid. We have tons of stone that I want to implement as well.

Consider the Aircrete folks and see if they'll come do a workshop on your land. They will build your structure for free while teaching their workshop to their students. At least that's what I remember the last time I was looking it up which is coming on 2 years possibly.

Wow. That's awesome. I wonder why they do that?
