Big people only reply to big people and follow them only, I have seen this on Twitter and now the same thing is happening on Nostr. 😌

I've gotten way more engagement with large accounts on nostr than I have anywhere else.
I believe nostr is a strong community and large accounts recognize that as well and actively participate in it.
What is this about? Am I being accused of something? Confused.
This is my personal opinion, I could be wrong too.
I disagree. I’ve had people reply or react to my shit on here that there was no way in hell would have happened on Twitter.
May not always be the case but also the “big people” are usually good friends with the other “big people” so they are more likely to respond to them.
You know…like you and your friends would do.
I follow interesting people and reply to fun, interesting and thought-provoking notes. I’ve never once looked at anyone’s follower count. I didn’t even know I’m a big account? That’s funny to me. I don’t even know how many followers I have … don’t remember the last time I looked.
I blocked you a long time ago because you dmed me to follow you. This is an instant block in my book. Prior to that I saw you talking about growing your followers which defeats the purpose of social networks - again instant block for me.
They don't owe us anything. Can choose to engage with whoever they want.
I just don't want algos pushing my notes down because i don't have as many followers.
My content is crap either way but here it isn't hidden, censored, or pushed down.

Jack has literally hugged half of nostr. Odell replied to me more times than not. Preston is always chatting with everyone. I didn't even know the rest were "big people".
Who cares how many followers you have or who follows you? If it’s really that important to you, notice that the big accounts you mentioned provide value, educate, and make people think with their content. Stop begging for followers and share and educate using your areas of expertise. I promise you will then be noticed and followed.

Think of all the somebodies we'll be when the dollar is done and we hold the means of powering entire new economies.
These are sources of inspiration to me. I want to listen and learn from what they have to say because a thing or two might help me grow.
To try and guilt trip those tagged into replying is a negative way of getting attention and looks weak because it’s easier than demonstrating competency or value.
You still matter even if they don’t reply to you. You should focus on becoming impressive at what you your own passion and be grateful if someone notices.
Yea, guilt tripping isn’t cool.. Cameri is right, figure out what you are passionate abt. People don’t give two hoots abt attention here. They just go abt talking to whomever who clicks or whatever is interesting to them. I’m grateful for the people here. This is my happy space in a larger crazy world out there. Nostr is special
Btw hope that didn’t come across negatively. I think India is very unique - from ancient stories to political changes over the years. I’ve read many business stories from India on how people overcome classism, corrupts, gangs and still achieve global business statuses
I see you post bits and pieces on Bitcoin and India. I’d definitely love to hear Bitcoin tech growth in India - who are the Bitcoin businesses / wallets / miners from India ? how’s the Bitcoin user adoption? How can villages in India adapt digital growth? Who are the Bitcoin celebrities of India ? How can Bitcoin and Nostr beat corruption in the long run? How are people of India being educated abt Bitcoin ? There are so many cultures and languages in India - I think 21 languages ? How do we overcome language barriers ?
I’d love to hear your opinions and perspective on Bitcoin growth in India. I’m sure people globally would be interested too. You can always share bits and pieces of this on your Nostr notes. Hope these suggestions helps!
My first week on Nostr #[1] boosted a meme I made and I had less than ten followers. I was stoked and sent a screenshot to a bunch of friends to get them on Nostr where everyone can interact with everyone.

I actually try to make a point to search for the smaller accounts that may not get as many zaps and do my best to make sure they get them. Many that chose to follow me early on I make it a point to go back and show them some love as they aren’t chasing “clout” and just enjoy being part of the community. Big or small. Doesn’t matter. 🤍🤜🤛
I try my best to make sure everyone here knows I appreciate them just being here and engaging

First is that I’ve never seen this at all. Second is that they generally *know* each other. They are responding to friends and people they’ve met in person because that’s who you notice when you have tons of replies.
What you are seeing is *familiarity* among those who have tons of people who try to interact with them, not some pseudo-elitism or whatever you seem to be suggesting.
Yeah, we’re all guilty of it. I don’t have a bajillion followers, but I try and interact with as many as I can, but sometimes comments get missed with all the notifications.
I have however had replies from many on that list and none of them are following me, so they do interact outside of their circles when they have time or commentary.
Can confIrm. I'm but a lowly pleb but have had chats with Guy, Eric, Matt and other "big" accounts on the bird app before ditching it for nostr.
I’m a pleb and Jeff Booth was my first follower and he also zapped me first.
