Does anyone else think there is likely life on/in Europa?
Discussion
Has to be
Wouldn't it be crazy if life can bootstrap off of energy from gravity pull, seriously
Hard to say… my main issue with any of the icy moons is that their subsurface oceans have no real way for energy from the sun to find its way down to support life.
If it does exist it would have to be on the subsurface ocean floors around hydrothermal vents which basically limits it to extremophiles.
That counts, doesn’t have to be intelligent. Stuff lives in complete darkness all the time.
I agree, I’m in the camp of it’s probably out there in many places but is limited to simple organisms like it was on earth for a couple billion years before our soup decided it wanted to become more structured.
I'm barely sure there's life in Europe 🤷🏽
Woahhh 😂

It’s possible. Not sure it’s very likely though.
A lot of factors would have to be right, but if there is liquid water, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is something, anything
I think it’s likely all over the solar system.
Like exoplanets and extra-terrestrial water, once we we find the first example it’ll rapidly become apparent it’s ubiquitous.
Europa, Titan, Mars, Comets, etc.
