Is there an easy tool to login to #Nostr apps on mobile with an “extension” yet like nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm does on desktop browser?

This is my biggest issue with going exploring right now. I hate pasting my Nsec all over the place. Any ideas?

On iOS there is nostore + safari. Not sure about android.

Would Nostore work with Damus?

nostore is a safari plugin. Damus is just as secure, we store the nsec in your keychain.

That's assuming you trust Damus. His concern was that there were too many apps and not knowing which to trust.

Have you tried Kiwi browser on Android?

There are a couple android browsers that allow extensions. Nos2x for example plus I think Firefox? And kiwi supports them for sure

On iOS you'd want to use the Nostore application from the App Store. It's an extension for Safari. Android is a little different, having to use Firefox or Kiwi with a browser extension just like desktop.

Nostore works really well. The only sucky thing, if you install as a PWA, you can’t get nostore to communicate with it.

nostore for ios was reccomended, ive tried it out last few days, zapstream etc, seems good! https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nostore/id1666553677

You can use Alby extension on Mozilla mobile

https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/firefox-android

Also, you can use amber to manage your key for apps that support it. Yana, amethyst, nostrudel and more. https://github.com/greenart7c3/Amber

Or you can use nsecbunker by nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft and delegate keys. I wish that newer nostrapps implemented this service, it’s super handy. But for the mean time nostore does the job right

Been having trouble with this one honestly. I want to come back to it but I fought with it for a long time and it just wasn’t reliable and randomly busted completely stopped working. Never went back to figure out why.

I wish I had time for troubleshooting projects on these things, but I just don’t unfortunately. So if it doesn’t mostly just work, then it’s not going to be much help. ☹️

Spring app is great, it is like an all in one nostr login app. (Android). Spring.site

Nostrmo webutils

You're asking exactly the right question here. What's needed is some key management app similar to but not the same as iOS keychain or Android/Google Password Manager (that stores keys not just passwords).

This app would grant indirect fine-grained access to keys to other apps subject to users' choice. Indirect because it will perform cryptographic operations on the client app's behalf instead of directly revealing the key.

I have ideas and plans there but not promising anything.
