I’m told you only need a few read relays with a good connection. Write relays can be slower. Basically the more relays you add the slower things become especially on web. Native apps seem better at handling more relays.
GM. For reading a good feed I like relays based on a popular user's web-of-trust (that is they only relay notes from people close to that user) e.g. wot.utxo.one or nostrelites.org
I also run my own relay for backing up notes, keeping dm's private, and just having more control. For this I use HAVEN relay.
If you ever want a separate relay for a private chat just between team members or family, I recommend SW2 relay.
