I can't print the lenses but damnit I can print the frames
And that's where the expensive part comes in. Since lenses are so complex eye glass stores refuse to work on frames that are not in their inventory since the machines are tuned to those specs. Or at least that's what I was told when I wanted to get my favorite sunglasses turned into prescription sunglasses 😢
