Nobody is forced to zap you if they do its because they wanted to whatever the reason is be it appreciation,them just having fun.
If you dont want a wallet connected thats perfectly fine as well but no need to feel wrong about being apreciated

I will continue to think about it. Im just not so sure how I feel about the idea of money as the main interest of my sociality.
Im worried about what that will do to my mind on here.

Personally for me getting zapped just makes my brain make the good chemical and i like zapping people even more , its detached from money for me more of a "super like"
but as you described it as a for money interaction and you worry what that will do to you i will say just go with what feels comfy to you ease of mind is priceless

I feel a) that no one has to zap, so it makes it more of a "super like" as said by #[0] imho too. Just a fun way to interact with one another and b) I pay it forward with zaps. I have loaded nothing onto me wallet of satoshi (to only one I have connected here) and have used the generosity of others as a means to show my appreciation towards others. Just one big "pay-it-forward" circle of zaps at the end of the day. again, all imho. I like that u question it though, healthy skepticism doesn't hurt. Cheers!
