However, I no longer see zaps in the zaps notifications view in Primal. The zap notifications show in the wallet, but not in Primal. Is this expected behavior?

So you are saying, when someone zaps you, you don't see the zap in primal? Like, here I am in Jumble.social. I zapped you, and I see this:
