I don't think there is any conspiracy here , there is a distinct lack of testosterone in the coding community . Just take a look at the ethos of the Cypher-punks and all the cool coding projects that were part of a counter culture in the 90's and early 2000's and now people are more interested in contributing to facial recognition software and censorship algorithms and whatever else. I wish I was better at coding because I would love to contribute to "freedom-tech" .
Software Engineers hate dealing with people, that is why they program. The computer ALWAYS does what you ask it to (probably why we are so grouchy π). Honestly, though, it is something I hope our community works on...
So the master-slave relationship spills over into your interactions with flesh and blood, and the frustration ensues?
