The Vatican is another state, very rich and with a lot of influence on the rest of the states... a perfect nest for corruption
why is there even a need for a pope? I don't understand his role... seems like he's just the cult kingpin scammer?
I'm not a follower of any religion, in my flawed interpretation it's just another man chosen by others behind closed doors, all with different interests using the doctrine of religion as a form of control over the rest of the world... they have never been chosen by a God or a higher power, they aren't to be trusted

Probably they are more traditional, more about keeping many kilograms of gold… they are not worried that the state will take it away from them
