I don't like Tailscale's account set up but i'm impressed.
Always connected to my home Umbrel when away from home with Mullvad as the exit node.
I really want to use StartOS but this Umbrel, Tailscale and Mullvad setup is next level.
Photo's syncing with Immach, contacts & calendar with Baikal.
So much slicker than a clunky Nextcloud set up over Tor.

Yeah, Nextcloud makes me pound my head against the wall. I need to try it.
🤣 its not great. Locally over http it seems OK, as soon as I run over https or try to access remotely that's when the wheels fall off for me.
🤙🤙 Looking forward to seeing StartOS's next release I'm hoping these remote access limitations will be resolved.
Really cant fault Umbrel at the minute though.
You know star9 will have clearnet access this year right ?
While Umbrel has the greatest marketplace. However, less security and privacy focused.
Every app/service work with its independent docker instance on startOS.
So there is no way one critical failure compromise the whole thing.

That seems to become solved in the next major startOS update.
