Is there a relay archival tool? Like a relay that just hits other relays for your npub content to back it all up.
Discussion
I'd use this in a heartbeat. I've been searching for one that checks relays for all of my followers and then rebroadcast their follow list to more relays to get a better idea of follow count but I've not found either kind.
Look into the Primal stack. Their cache sounded like something similar. Their beta client is pretty š„ so far.
Your client searches all the relays and umbrel has a personal nostr relay app you can back them all up into.
Look into nostros. It has tooling around these use cases.
Gross, Umbrel.
I just got a non-rPi little box for Start 9. Will definitely aggregate there but wanted something for on the go. I donāt letās have a connection back to my LAN. I guess a more proactive caching.
Yeah look into nostros. Everything stored locally. Its a mobile app....wait. Are you an Apple user? Its an android app...
What's wrong with Umbrel?
Probably nothing but Iām an unpaid shill for nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll
Completely ignorant bias as Iāve never use dUmbrel. š
Lol, typo wasnāt half-bad in this context. I believe nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 just became a fan boy too.
Gotcha, for people who arent coders by nature, umbrel is great. But i get the appeal to Start9
Start9 isnāt for coders only. The UI/UX is specifically for the non-technical.
which is why im currently figuring out how i want to build my new node. if i want to do a bunch of docker containers or if i want to do raw applications. when i built it last year, i used raw applications because i wanted to explore a bit of CLN. this time around, i am most likely going to be using docker containers. i just need to design all of the configurations out first and then ill backup my LND config and hope for the best.
i was a fan boy until last night.
my umbrel was so damn customized running customized containers, applications, and scripts that i wrote to do various things.
i figured startos was better, more hardened, and would be a better choice for me.
it is not.
i can't do nearly the amount of customization that i had done previously.
im just going to build my own.
if you're a noob or a noob + likes technical shit, then startos is for you.
Iāve tried this one as well
