If a presidential candidate is holding some BTC, and he’s pro-bitcoin. Isn’t that a conflict of interest ?

The only way for there not to be a conflict of interest would be if they owned literally nothing.

But legally, yeah that’ll probably be used as ammo against him lol

No it’s a commodity fair game

If he’s pushing for legislation that will help grow his investment, it is for me.

Generally speaking, I’m against public officials holding up assets in the financial markets they can control one way or another.

Commodities don’t have the same laws as securities, if it was a security it would be a conflict of interest.

I honestly, can’t see why. Can you please explain ?

You can legally promote a commodity without legal ramifications even if you are invested in it. Laws for commodities are not the same as securities and have different regulators. For instance SEC regulates securities and CME regulates commodities.

I see, Thanks for taking the time to explain ! I now understand why we say corn 🌽 for bitcoin 😂 both are commodities 😂

😂 I never made this connection but you must be right 🤙

Just one more on our team

Jerome Powell is more powerful than Joe Biden

If he has US citizenship and runs for a US president, isn't it a conflict of interest?

The whole concept of running for office is a conflict of interest

I know they do a declaration regarding their assets at some point

I was mostly using your post to shit on politicians sorry for the intrusion but i like to take every chance i get 😂🫂

Don’t be sorry for that, that’s the right attitude 😂💜🫂
