I know about Linux. Been using different distros for years. It does have the tendency to crash with updates I find. Was considering trying Windows for reliability but not sure if any better there days. Old Lenovo is a good idea.

Even if you stick with windows just make sure you're happy with the RAM capability & just upgrade it.

Will work better than expected.
