I know about Linux. Been using different distros for years. It does have the tendency to crash with updates I find. Was considering trying Windows for reliability but not sure if any better there days. Old Lenovo is a good idea.

Slow and bloated. But WSL - Windows Subsystem for Linux is quite nice TBH. Also known as Windows suck less.
