Easily Send and Receive Bitcoin Using Lightning on Your Phone

Lightning network payments are a faster and often cheaper way to spend and receive bitcoin. This guide will walk you through the easiest way to get started.

1. Install Phoenix Wallet on Android or iPhone.

2. Run Phoenix and click create new wallet.

3. Click the Receive button to receive bitcoin using the lightning network.

- Click show bitcoin address if sender does not have a lightning wallet.

4. Once you have bitcoin in the wallet you can pay any lightning invoice by clicking the send button.

How do you create a LN URL address in Phoenix or Muun? I am new to Lightning and trying to figure out how to receive Sats via Nostr with one of the easier Lightning wallets and without the complexity of having to figure out channel management, etc.

Good Morning,

I'm confused with setting up my Amethyst profile for zaps. The lightning address seems to be in an email like format ie @....... within my Amethyst profile. However the receive address in Phoenix is in the standard bitcoin address format. What's the difference? And how do I set that up?

Lightning addresses are not supported yet, but we are working on it. It should be available in the coming months, along with a major update of Phoenix.

You should activate Tor and you should change the payment settings for on the fly channels to save fees.
