Would it do the music quality justice?
Paid users can already cast to Google Home devices. I don't see why native support would be any different as Google Cast actually pulls the files and streams them via the auto company's distribution servers.
Is that like Alexa?
*Yes.* It's like an Amazon Echo. I was in the original beta of Amazon Echo. It was a great device, but sadly I don't use the Amazon ecosystem. The following year, Google came out with Google Home and I dove right in.

We’re right now focused on artists tools. These integrations are neat, but end up getting relatively little usage compared to dev cost.
I’m exiting current startup after acquisition (instant payments for music streaming royalties). Looking at what’s next. Would love to chat about building artist tools at TIDAL.
Makes sense. Also, know there is an app already, works good. Just missing the option to add as a complication function to add to my current face.
Would love this feature. I try to use tidal via chromecast with mobile instead in kitchen. However, when you’re cooking 👩🍳🍳 , with lots of things in your hand and the need to set timer ⏲️ on google home - much easier to say “hey google, set timer for 3 mins, and play new music”
