i have a lightning wallet on cashapp already, and that option checked here in settings…. was wondering if that’s all i have to do

CashApp won’t work because it doesn’t support the Lightning Address format yet. Wallet of Satoshi is by far the easiest to onboard with.
You can also just get a receiving address from stacker.news or fountain.fm but tbh the best part of zaps on nostr is being able to send as well as receive.

Sorry I should have been clearer. Lightning Network is the network but there is a specific type of address called an LNURL that you need. In the wallets that support it it’s an address that begins with “LNURL” or looks like an email address. CashApp and other wallets like Muun and Phoenix will only give you a one-time invoice that expires in a few hours and can’t be paid by more than one person.
If you paste an invoice into a post on Damus or any Nostr client it shows up like this:

OK – so putting that address in NIP-05 won’t do anything. It’s a totally different function. That’s what gives you a purple checkmark. You need to get that from somewhere else, and even make your own if you own and host a domain name.
