By default, all feeds are loading through Tor. So, if Tor is slow or it is offline, few things will load.
To improve that, we added a Trusted Relay section in your relay lists. You can add there all the relays you trust enough to use without Tor. In that way, even if Tor is down, you will still see posts from those relays.
Of course, you can also disable Tor or disable the option on privacy settings to not use Tor for untrusted relays. But that is not recommended.
Hmm. I've added several to my trusted relays, and even tried turning off tor for untrusted. I'm still getting far less notes compared to the old version (which I am running with tor enabled for everything but media).
If I go to a profile it will get their notes, which then show up in my feed.

Try toggling to global, then back to all follows. It got my feed working.
Same, following feed is very quiet, however if you leave it and let it sit there an load for a while notes start popping up that would normally just be there

Secundariamente, pelo visto nΓ£o, quanto mais pessoas vocΓͺ seguir, mais relays (se a pessoa tiver relays diferentes) vocΓͺ vai se conectar.
Achei estranho, mas acredito que seja questão de costume. Parabéns ao Vitor pela atualização, talvez no futuro tenha uma pra remover se muita gente se incomodar.

Is tor overkill if you already use a VPN?
Probably. I am not sure if your VPN can handle these many connections though.
I definitely canβt turn off my VPN. So do you recommend tunneling amethyst while connecting through tor?
You donβt really wanna double up. Tor+VPN makes you more identifiable

Depends how you connect. VPN before Tor - VPN can see your real IP and in theory could log and correlate metadata. Tor before VPN - youβre anonymous to the VPN but you are trusting them but they can see your traffic. Honestly, if youβre good on Tor just use Tor. If you use a VPN, just use that. Unless, youβre doing some really shady shit, those I canβt help with.
