the main reason why you don't want a computer chair with armwrests is that you can't as comfortably let a cat sit on your lap without being cross legged.

besides that, i often sit that way all the time. what the hell do you want armwrests for when you are sitting at a desk anyway? it's not a couch.

I use them to rest my arms.

I’ve been standing at my desk for quite some time now, hardly notice it

yeah, i don't. that's why i have spongy mats in front of the keyboard and mouse, and adjust my chair and desk height to be comfortable.

They are for when you spin around to address your henchmen.

my henchman is a cat. all he does is cry at me to feed him and to let him jump on my lap

the armrests would make it more difficult for him to jump on my lap. just sayin'

Perhaps if you looked more imposing with some proper armrests your henchman would do your bidding instead of crawling into your lap. Nothing is less intimidating than a mastermind who doesn't know what to do with his hands while monologuing.

nah, i am totally fine with having a cat. i mean, dr evil has them. dr claw has one

anyway, his main job is to be smoochy and begging for food and playing silly games batting at me while i walk past.

it's better than having an empty house, and better than having a dog who is gonna be yapping and begging for walkies all day long. the cat i can just pile up his bowl and i barely hear from him all day, except for his complaints about teh toilet and wanting the lap.

I have managed to become allergic to cats somehow. So I'll leave you to enjoy yours.

i've always been a bit allergic to them but it fades with exposure

i have numerous childhood memories involving my friendship with cats and i've always wanted to have one. and i have had several over the years but then after a couple of years they got lost or i had to leave or some other shit. the one i have now, he's with me for his whole life, or mine, whichever expires first.
