I want to get back to one of my blog series ideas -- review the #1 pop song for every decade I've been alive (i.e., if I were born in 1985, I'd start in 1980).

I started to look into it, but figured I didn't really have that much to say about pop music, but I'm sure when we get to decades I remember well like the 80s and 90s, I'd have some interesting anecdotes or memories. Unfortunately, my musical knowledge starts dropping off rapidly in the 90s, when I lost interest in popular music.
