What is your deciding factor on a ❤️ vs a ⚡? For me, if you taught me something useful that I didn't know or find value in, or if what you said is unique or profound in some way, I ⚡. But if I appreciate what you said or the sentiments (even if I disagree with it) I ❤️. You?

For me a like is an acknowledgement that I have read a note and I appreciate their time in writing it and their thoughts on the topic. A zap is for a note that has evoked an emotion, any emotion. Zap is also for those notes that have made me stop and consider something, or has taught me something new, or has promoted a thought/cause I believe in.

I like that way of looking at it. If it evokes an emotion, ⚡. If you appreciate the time but it didn't evoke anything, ❤️. Good rule of thumb.

I want to learn, to laugh, to think, and to even cry. When we communicate freely without manipulation, this is what it means to be human. So far, for me this has not been possible online. This is the closest it has been. I hope we get it right.
