Needs to be easier to verify yourself. No way a reporter with the New York Times can easily get their npub registered at nytimes.com. It was more work than expected for all of us very technical employees to get verified at cash.app

They pay for one badge on twitter, I got 15 for free on Nostr, we are not the same.
Engagement and twitter clout must be a powerful feeling, (I wouldn't know! ) that is keeping many good people locked in the pen.
I like how you get a checkmark on here and all you have to do is show up halfway verified.
If you use Twitter you should pay for it. Advertiser supported business models are garbage.

I recently canceled my Twitter Blue subscription, due to spending more time on Nostr (@Damus) and exchanging value for content for value (via ⚡️) in sats. Twitter is noise; Nostr is signal.

I pay for Twitter blue because it's a service I still use a lot. I tend to pay for things I use. As NOSTR grows, and I find I'm not using Twitter anymore, I'll cancel it.
I was amazed how much of a difference it makes in terms of engagement. I paid the month rufht before it went live, during all of the layoffs. Not worth the extra money to just be a low level user
