I went "sugar free" for over a year, while still eating carbs, and noticed immediate health changes in the first 3-4 months. For example, I still ate fruit and sourdough bread (as long as sugar was not added).

Nearly everything other than veggies, fruits, and meat has sugar added, even the "natural/organic" brands. I believe it is enough to be poisonous. Nature always provides fiber with sugar, and we have removed the fiber while mega-dosing on sugar. It was killing me, so I had to make a change. Btw, I had sworn off artificial sweetners a long time ago. They ARE poison.

If you're able to abstain from all consumables that have someform of sugar added (evaporated cane juice, any ingredient ending in "...ose", any ingredient starting with "malt...", or syrups) for 3-4 months, then eat something "normal", you will be amazed at how much sugar it is loaded with. You'll be able to tell if something has even the smallest amount of sugar in it right away.

Natural carbs are fine. In fact, they are necessary. However, the amount of sugar in our food, drinks, and sauces is at dangerous levels.
