Gm y'all!

Woke up tired. Cutting off carbs for today.

I'm observing how my body reacts to it. I do see some benefits and definitely some troubles.

I need a better food plan, but before I figure that out, here's letting my body guide me. Though I wouldn't rely on my reasoning 100%, cuz a symptom or the lackthereof could be caused by many factors.

Anywho...the plumber is coming today to fix the leaking outside but dry wall repair will be next week most likely. Let's hope that doesn't cause more roach problems...anywho...

Hope y'all have a great Friday before the long weekend!! 💖💖

Good morning ☀️

As someone who has been very strict keto for about three years, just stopping for a day or two won’t help you notice how your body reacts. In fact, you’ll probably feel sick and be craving carbs in the short term. You really need to commit about two weeks to go through the pain/change to burning fat instead of glucose, and then make your assessment. Just a word of advice for someone who’s done this seriously for a while.

You’re very right to attribute it to carbs and seed oils. I’ve fallen off the keto wagon and have felt the brain fog set back in. I gotta go back to strictly saturated fats and protein for awhile!

I went "sugar free" for over a year, while still eating carbs, and noticed immediate health changes in the first 3-4 months. For example, I still ate fruit and sourdough bread (as long as sugar was not added).

Nearly everything other than veggies, fruits, and meat has sugar added, even the "natural/organic" brands. I believe it is enough to be poisonous. Nature always provides fiber with sugar, and we have removed the fiber while mega-dosing on sugar. It was killing me, so I had to make a change. Btw, I had sworn off artificial sweetners a long time ago. They ARE poison.

If you're able to abstain from all consumables that have someform of sugar added (evaporated cane juice, any ingredient ending in "...ose", any ingredient starting with "malt...", or syrups) for 3-4 months, then eat something "normal", you will be amazed at how much sugar it is loaded with. You'll be able to tell if something has even the smallest amount of sugar in it right away.

Natural carbs are fine. In fact, they are necessary. However, the amount of sugar in our food, drinks, and sauces is at dangerous levels.

Besides animal fats: You could add more avocado, coconut oil (or MCT oil which is coconut oil with certain more inflammatory components filtered out, drizzled on food), ghee (before meals), also include various legumes/grains like more white rice, millets, beans etc. There could be many reasons why you're tired and it may not be entirely due to carbs. Eg if you have been up late, are stressed or on the computer for long hours.. Personally I would find a good holistic health practitioner who can do a complete diagnosis and give you guidance that is tailored to you. I am a big fan of Ayurveda that will find your dosha (your specific constitution and imbalance) so the guidance you get is specifically for your needs. Good luck!
