I have a neighbour / friend who spends time each month managing his credit score.

He also advises me what to do with my tax allowance savings, I forget the term he uses.

We don't understand each others financial view of the world.

it has its advantages & disadvantages. overall, this system is shady & lack transparency. it lacks standards & they use algorithms that lack testing for coded human bias.

Unfortunately, it is important if you want to take out debt in your life. Mostly it can be a huge negative for many people because they don’t realize the consequences of not paying off credit cards etc. Then they have to delay big purchases for years or take bad terms because of past actions.

💯 it sucks that there is this massive surveillance and data sharing network that you can’t opt out of. The score, however, is something quite important to the majority of people.
