Good morning. Once we better integrate Nostr Nests with Nostr, I suspect it's usage will drastically increase, especially once we integrate text chat and Zaps.

The last few nights we've been discussing different ways to monetize Nests so that it's able to pay for itself. Right now, it's fairly cheap to run Nests. As Nests grows in popularity, I'm suspecting this to cost several hundred dollars a month to run, if not much more.

We've discussed various solutions for this. Some of them are:

1) paying a Lightning invoice to start all Nests

2) free to start, pay after an hour

3) free for under 10 people, pay for larger Nests

What is fair? What are your thoughts? I appreciate all of your feedback.

How about streaming sats? The organiser pays 10 (or whatever number makes sense) sats a minute

Streaming sats in a method similar to fountain.fm? If so, we'd need to integrate our own Lightning wallet for this to work I believe.

Yes that’s right. This might make sense for organizers once zaps are integrated into nests - if the nest has good content, the zaps should cover the streaming costs

Compile 2 & 3 for the good of the ecosystem.

Either a subscription fee charter.. or a low-cost alternative to charge the adoption by plentiful users.

Personally, I’d rather zap once rather than streaming sats.
