In most cases, it’s best to remove the superfluous.

Small distractions can pull attention away from the essence of an image - or whatever you’re focusing on. The same goes for photography. Sometimes black and white is the better choice if color doesn’t add anything. Having both options in your toolkit - and knowing when to use them - is what separates a “keeper” from a “non-keeper.”

I’m a fan of color - I love exploring tonalities and textures. But sometimes a photo just looks better in black and white. After years of looking at images, it often becomes a simple decision. It’s subjective, of course, but as Plato said, “the beautiful is easy to discern.”

These photos were taken yesterday on a quick hike with my Leica M262 and edited in Lightroom + Dehancer Film.

I see what your saying, but personally I almost always like color. it just feels better

Yeah, I’m biased to color for sure.

That’s a serious camera! Those cost a few grand, don’t they?

"Definitely a great piece of gear! But it's all about the creativity behind the lens, right? 📸✨"

It’s a great cam. I’ll never part with it. No live view, no video mode, just simple. Worth maybe .035 btc with the lens

Nice 🌿 📷

🙃❤️

I love a good black and white image. But that first shot works in colour for me.

Same here. Color is always my default preference, but I can adapt if needed.
