My daughter has shocked people at her appetite and preference for red meat, as she guzzled roast beef down while pushing away everything else. But eggs, meat, and sourkraut were the first solid foods given. She shows enthusiastic love for beef, lamb, chicken, and pork. Sometimes fish like sardines. But she also loves bananas now. She loves tomato and cucumber from the garden, and still loves sourkraut. My son, on the other hand, was incorrectly (by myself -before I learned better) introduced to the typical grains and fruit and sweets way too young, and has taken A LOT of consistent work trying to right the wrong and shift toward just even a more typical american intake of meats. I have learned to start early with good foods consistently first..don't give "baby food" and snacks and all that garbage from the store. Meat and eggs, then go from there.
