I love to read and I read a lot. Not a day without a book.

But how do you read?

Do you still have "normal" books? Or do you prefer the e-book? Or maybe an audio book?

To be honest, I love "real" books. I like the feel, even the smell, and also the possibility to reread passages, I often make notes or markings. I don't just pick up a good book once. There are books that I have read three or four times. If years lie in between, one often has a completely different view of the written and always discovers something new. When I travel, however, I definitely have my Kindle with me. I don't like it that much, but it's just practical.

And I also listen to audio books. But only non-fiction books. I must admit that very often I buy an audiobook I liked as a regular book as well.

But how does that look for you? I would be happy if you would share your experiences and preferences here.

I read online and in bed

I just search the name of the book wih read online

I'm young, and my friends read digital. I can't. I want paper. I want to touch it. Disconnect when I'm reading. It's intimate. Is the opposite of "connected".

I live wired and connected 24/7. When I read I want to perceive that distance.

I love books in al shapes and sizes :)

Fictional book suggestion: The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

Books. I know its a myth but the left/right brain thing fits- Right is looser and abstract, left is a bit more "practical" seems to be my division of labour. Anyway, dozing off with a book is natural, on a laptop, not so much. Many busted tablets can testify

Old fashioned books made of PAPER is soooooo much better, imho! Physical 📚books you can touch, smell, write notes, admire book cover design, etc. Also, brain retains more information than reading digital.

I’ve actually never finished a digital book. And it’s bad for eyes and ditto blue lights.

And who really wants to cozy up with a digital reading device on a rainy day with a 🫖🍵 cuppa?

I love real books I still buy real books. But for convenience I find myself reading more and more ebooks. Also I have used the audio version of some of my favorite books for meditation. #Bookstr #BeOG

I try to mostly read on my kindle 3g with keyboard. I love to make notes while reading but would never make it in a paper book directly.

But some books I read are printed though.
