Seems to be quite a few coffee fanatics in Nostr. Favourite brewing method and why? ☕

I split my brews between Aeropress and a Mokka. Though I do occasionally fall back to the bean-to-cup machine for early starts!

Here's the mini Mokka I bought when in Rome.

V60 Ceramic Coffee Dripper for coffee ☕️

currently I am looking for an espresso machine

Mokka pot for me. One of these days ill upgrade to real espresso machine.

Ethiopian Yirgacheffe are my favorite beans. But ive been trying some others recently.

Call me traditional, but for me nothing beats small, intense espresso from specialty coffee beans. 💛

Speaking of which… time for one ☕️ #coffeetime #coffeechain

Favourite beans?

Yes. My most favourite are specialty beans from Brasil, Columbia, Guatemala and Ethiopia. 🫠

How about yours?

I am partial to Guatemalan beans. Generally do my orders from these guys.

Old reliable. Just add some salt and half&half to fresh ground dark roast.

Curious, Why the salt?

Also curious!

Taste and minimizes electrolyte dilution in body. Mostly taste tbh.

Now I have to try it 😜

Rabbit hole I haven‘t fully entered.

Love coffee, but usually get a Lungo/Americano from La Marzocco machine for example…

Not sure about the exact brewing

mechanism. ☝🏽

At home, I do old-school french press or filter coffee 👀

My #1 go to is still my Londinium I lever espressomachine. And my Aeropress for non espresso and travel #coffee

Are those the ones with the levers on top?

Yup! No pump, pull down by hand and the springs push the water trough the coffee puck. Silent operation. 😋

I keep watching videos with lever espresso machines on youtube. Very tempted. 🔥

Totally worth it for me. But I fell down the coffee rabbit hole pretty hard. Ended up running a coffee roastery for a while.

🫂

Doble boiler, Mokka or French press, preferably one of each before midday! ⚡️☕️💜🍭💫

What's a doble boiler?

Just a pro Espresso machine, had one for a few years, doind the barista thing…nothing can beat that method. It’s what u usually get at good coffee shops.

French press maximalist here

The classic.

Aeropress, but lining up a lever espresso machine when funds and circumstances permit..

They do look pretty damn cool!

Espresso to make a nice Latte at home 😊☕

We use a moka pot, and it's great. That contraption you posted looks awesome, but wouldn't it make a mess?

Surprisingly not. My espresso cups sit much closer to the spouts.
