If we image the mind as our body and the information we take in as food, it provides a useful metaphor in choosing what apps we use and what media we consume.
Imagining a future where I can load data into my mind with a USB cable (secutiy, ethics, and safety aside) I would be extremely conscious of the quality of the data I am taking in.
I wouldn't want corrupt data or data with ads in it. Likewise I wouldn't want to take in data created by people who don't reflect my values.
That example might sound extreme, but we are only one step removed from this reality. My phone is currently 7 inches from my face. The throughoutput is slower, but the outcome is the same. Be conscious of who's words or ideas you are taking in through entertainment or education.
Consuming low quality content does to your mind what fast food does to your body.
