In ayurveda, they say clean your teeth after waking and in the evening

The morning oral care routine involved

1. Oil pulling - to pull ama/bacteria from the mouth

2. Brushing teeth with a twig from a Neem or Peelu tree (Neem and Peelu are anti microbial)

3. Tongue scraping immediately after brushing

I do the morning routine ( with a toothbrush on most mornings). But I also brush after meals. 😁

The ayurveda approach is to take care of the root cause of oral imbalances, bacteria and plaque, first thing in the morning; they accumulate overnight and cause bad breath. Then repeat the twig brushing in the evening before bed.
