This is incredible!! Definitely saving this idea especially to mix it in with ground beef for a hearty meal after a long sit in the stand!

Yes. Once all of the ingredients are dehydrated I just put them all in a 8“ x 5“ mylar bag and vacuum seal the Mylar bag in a vac bag with the rehydration instructions. We are usually about an hour away from home so it’s nice to pack light.

Absolutely!! Do you have others you like to pack or prepare? I would love to build my supply of ready to go meals just in case or ones that are easy to prepare while camping or hiking.

Yes I usually keep three of them in my 72 hour “go bag“. Sometimes I’ll substitute cooked and then re-dehydrated rigatoni noodles or cooked and dehydrated Barley or rice for the Orzo. Or switch up the broccoli with dehydrated carrot slices. Or use powdered chicken soup base instead of Oxo beef powder.

Nice! I’d love to see a post of what’s in your 72 hour bag. I prepped a bit and picked up different things just in case but never set it up in a backpack which would make the most sense. I’ll get there one day!
