Beautiful View
Yes, I feel incredibly blessed to have enjoyed this view almost six months! Looking forward to manifesting another beautiful location soon π―ππ
That's a very pretty view of a very mass-murdery island!
Sad history. People on an active island volcano. Active volcano = not safe = risk involved. I'm so sad for those impacted. π’π I hope people think a bit more when contemplating tourism that involves active volcanos (although I know the reality is people don't want to think the worst can happen) π
Facts. I've climbed active volcanoes in Japan, didn't think anything bad would happen, and nothing did.
But in hindsight and for climbing, nice low-viscosity non-explosive volcanoes like Hawai'i's and Ethiopia's probably best!
Whie Island in the distance is certainly pretty, tragic or not.
Yeah it is really awful. π I have been on that island, many years before tourism... and it has a vibe about it. You can feel the earth speaking saying it's dangerous. My dad said, this thing can blow up any time, jump in the water if it does... And we never went anywhere near the crater...
When I see people talking about how excited they are to go on an active volcano, I often wonder if they have actually paused for a while to contemplate what that really means. Like it literally means volcano can blow any time it likes. Cool. Tourist thing. Flex. Whatever. But yep, how to get people to stop and deeply think if that is a risk they really want to take is another thing. After all, hundreds of people do it... But when the worst happens who is to blame? And it's really no one's fault. It's an active volcano. π
I guess statistically, it really is highly unlikely for most people to get caught out. I think most people are lucky. But what people neglect in this situation where the worst does happen, there are very few people willing to accept that radical self-responsibility. People instantly look for someone to blame. But how can we blame a person or a company for mother nature ππππ
What cloud is that on the horizon?
It is the steam cloud from New Zealands most active volcano. π
Nice view, but there will be other views.
Absolutely π― I'm so lucky to be able to go find another view soon π―π
Just read your profile! Love it. Also βbreaking normalβ, our bio on Instagram says βredefining normalβ. Will enjoy watching the journey!
Hola Andy π
We are heading back to Costa Tropical in October. I'm thinking Costa Calida is further south! Great to be connected here ππ
Granada direction. Lovely region, tho we havenβt explored enough yet.
Not south, we are about 3hrs the other direction an hour or so above AlmerΓa.
Murcia & Cartagena the main cities. Micro Climate, mild winters!
Ahh nice! Granada - one of the few provinces left where tapas are gratis with a beer. We stopped in Torrevieja on our way down the coast last time so I'm guessing that is roughly near you. I liked that place!
Thatβs about 30 mins along the coast North! You got your mind in the direction! Some lovely places around here. Slower pace outside of summer!
Are you visiting Granada long?
